Elva was introduced to Pilates by her physiotherapist in 2009 for a sport-related leg injury. She also fractured her leg in a ski accident in 2012. Pilates not only helped her with the recovery from the two serious injuries, it also improved her body awareness for injury prevention, posture, core strength and flexibility with balance control.
Elva has been practicing Pilates in Singapore and Hong Kong for over 10 years. In her endeavor to delve into the principles of Pilates and share the benefits with others, Elva decided to pursue an instructor course. Elva is a certified Polestar Pilates Studio Comprehensive Instructor.
